Cynthia Bestard is the Director of Consumer Insights, Financial Services and Insurance Practices at J.D. Power. She is responsible for analyzing data to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations for improving the customer experience and, ultimately, financial metrics.

Previously at the company, Ms. Bestard held several research-related positions in the Financial Services Practice, including research director; senior research manager; research manager; and research supervisor. In these roles she designed products and solutions to meet the diverse needs of clients. She was also responsible for the design and execution of all research-related activities within the practice.

Prior to joining J.D. Power in 2005, Ms. Bestard was a network analyst at PPOM, where she was responsible for evaluating performance, utilization and trends of physician networks, as well as provider contracts to determine the impact of pricing structures. She also developed sampling plans and questionnaires for internal research projects. Before PPOM, she was project director in the healthcare division at Morpace International. She was responsible for managing all aspects of several large-scale proprietary studies, which included questionnaire design, vendor management, report analysis and presentation creation.

Ms. Bestard earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a specialty in marketing and a minor in statistics, from the University of Michigan—Dearborn.
