J.D. Ney is Manager of Automotive Research and Consulting of J.D. Power’s Canadian automotive practice. He is responsible for day-to-day client service, providing Canada’s automotive decision makers with reliable and actionable research insights utilizing both the company’s syndicated studies, as well as the Power Information Network®.
In 2013, Mr. Ney assumed leadership of Canadian automotive syndicated research, providing clients across the industry with critical benchmark performance across the entire vehicle shopping, purchase, delivery, service and long-term ownership continuum. Mr. Ney also oversees the publication of the company’s popular Analyst Note, a monthly report that tackles intriguing, important or controversial issues in the Canadian automotive industry.
Prior to joining J.D. Power and Associates in 2011, Mr. Ney held senior editorial positions with Canadian magazine publications in the automotive, restaurant and hotel sectors.
Mr. Ney received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Mount Allison University in Sackville New Brunswick, and a Masters degree in journalism from Bond University in Australia.
