Michael Carmichael’s entire life has been encompassed by the automotive industry. As the 4th Generation automotive leader in his family, his education in the car business essentially started at birth.

Michael’s official career started in 2000 after graduation from the University of Western Ontario. In 2005, following completion of his MBA and after nearly 15 years of gaining experience working in every role from Used Car wholesaler to Service Advisor to Sales Manager, Michael became General Manager of City Buick Chevrolet Cadillac in Toronto. He subsequently became Dealer in 2009.

In 2010, Michael partnered with John Esplen and the Humberview Group and worked in a variety of capacities over 6 years, including President of Autopark and Regional Vice President of Operations for the group. He has also served as President of the Ontario Cadillac Regional Marketing Advisory Board, Director of General Motors National Fixed Operations Advisory Board and Director of General Motors Goodwrench Ontario Marketing Advisory Board. From 2014-2016, he completed the Owner President Management Program at Harvard Business School.

On July 1st, 2016, Michael sold his interest in City to the Humberview Group. Today, Michael is in the midst of creating his next venture. Michael is an avid rower and swimmer. He completed Ironman Lake Placid in 2012.
